More Brands

"As the name suggests, our brand is mostly about cashmere - we purchase raw cashmere and other materials and produce them in Italy. We have four stores in Milano. Heritage is important to us, as is the quality of the manufacturing. This is why we produce everything in Italy. We believe in the quality of Italian craftsmanship. Our core business is cashmere and knitwear but we also have different yarn like cotton, wool and silk. So far CENTRESTAGE has been very interesting - the level and standing of the brands is quite high. We’ve had a lot of interest from Asian clients and we’ve had meetings with clients from China, Korea, Shanghai, and Shenzhen and hopefully this will lead to successful collaborations."

Simone Di Davide, Designer,
Barbara Di Davide - I cashmere, Italy

"In business since 1999, Edward Achour Paris is based on iconic vintage pieces which express a Parisian style with top quality materials. We’re quite new to Hong Kong, but so far we’ve had a good response from the local market, with our pieces featured in Harvey Nichols and The Swank. We are mainly focused on the Asian market and we want to expand more, which is why we are back at CENTRESTAGE for our second year. We’ve met a number of prospective buyers from Korea, Indonesia, Japan and the Chinese mainland. We will be back in the future."

"We’re a Hong Kong retailer and wholesaler trying to bring a new perspective on Korean fashion to the market. We represent some Korean fashion designers. We carry clothing, jewelry, accessories and swimwear. Last year we attended CENTRESTAGE as a buyer and this year we’re here as a wholesaler, but we’re still keeping an eye out for interesting brands. There are more exhibitors than last year and more buyer traffic. Many Korean brands I spoke to said they’re satisfied with the fair and are impressed with the international traffic. Several buyers expressed interest in our products and we had a successful order from a Hong Kong shop which could be the beginning of a good relationship. The seminars being held have been very informative as well."

EJ Kim, Creative Director; Al Hong, Managing Director
K-Style Lab, Hong Kong

"I.N.K is an abbreviation of the names of the operations director and me. The name also represents the creative process we go through with our pens. We’ve been in operation for a year and we’ve had a lot of positive interest from China. Our brand is popular in Shenzhen. We combine new technology, unique materials and draping techniques to create character. We also try to incorporate the diversity and vibrancy of Macau’s local culture into our designs. This is our first time at CENTRESTAGE. We’ve been trying to connect with buyers from China and we’ve had quite a bit of interest from Taiwanese buyers. We had successful meetings with Future Labels, a Hong Kong designer showroom, and FarFetch, the online fashion platform."

Kris Chan, Brand Design Director,
I.N.K, Macau

"This is my first visit to CENTRESTAGE to source new fashion brands for Galeries Lafayette in Paris. There are some interesting offers. I have met with some talented designers and will explore opportunities with them seriously. FFIXXED STUDIOS highlighted at CENTRESTAGE ELITES show offers appealing designs and we expect to place orders with them. JUUN. J is also good. Other potential brands include ZERO DESIGN and GARANCE from Korea as well as KEVIN HO, HOUSE OF V and LOOM LOOP from Hong Kong. I have also found 5 new brands showcased at TUDOO SHOWROOM and 2 brands at HAUSIE Limited’s showcase. We will pursue further exchanges for business development. The fair’s organisation has been excellent."

Catherine Coppin, Womenswear Buyer,
Galeries Lafayette, France

"In business for 30 years, Dapper offers a wide range of menswear, women’s wear, footwear, bags and accessories under our own brands in Thailand. We operate 30 retail shops nationwide and export some collections to Myanmar, Indonesia, Cambodia and Hong Kong. This is my first visit to CENTRESTAGE to source handbags mainly. I am now in talks with H.A.N.D. and Ril Creed from Hong Kong and Maeng’s Work from Korea to establish business development. We normally buy 100 pieces per style and potential orders are expected to be around US$50,000 each. I have also identified two Chinese mainland exhibitors to explore OEM or ODM collaboration. This fair offers some interesting items. I really like it."

Suthaporn Teeraprasert,
Product Management Manager,
Dapper General Apparel Company Limited, Thailand

"D&H is a fashion retailer running 27 stores in Kuwait. We have been in operation since 1996 and currently carry 9 brands from Europe for women’s wear mainly. This is my first visit to CENTRESTAGE and it’s been a great experience. I have identified some designer brands through business matching meetings and spotted several interesting collections at fashion shows. The brands include HANG, Kevin Ho and Lapeewee from Hong Kong, and MAXRIENY from the Chinese mainland. Two Korean brands also provide attractive menswear and women’s wear collections while a Macau brand offers nicely-designed dresses. Further talks will be held to discuss the prices and select the most suitable collections. We expect to introduce the new brands to our customers. This is a compact fair and we hope to see it grow further in future."

Paul Kreidy, Operation Manager,
D&H International Company, Kuwait

"Freshlabels operates three fashion retail shops in Czech Republic carrying about 150 brands from different places worldwide. This is my first visit to CENTRESTAGE to find new opportunities. So far, I have established contact with 6 designer brands from Hong Kong and Korea for various menswear, women’s wear, unisex collections and bags. They include H.A.N.D. and LEBAAG VOYAGE from Hong Kong as well as ENOEICI, WHY-RI ROVER, ZERO DESIGN and 101Global from Korea. Further talks will be held to discuss the pricing and other details. We usually purchase 20-30 styles from each brand and about 10 pieces per style."

Jakub Veselský, CEO,
Freshlabels, Czech Republic

"ZEN is a lifestyle and fashion-oriented department store in Bangkok targetting younger customers in particular. We are part of the Central Group in Thailand and have plans to open a new store in Phuket next year. We are pleased to be here sourcing new and up-and-coming brands to enrich our offerings. There are four potential brands from Hong Kong and Korea we would like to develop business cooperation, involving menswear, women's wear and accessories. We are in talks with Hong Kong company Smart Global Enterprises for its bag collection. We will also explore cooperation with 101Global to select suitable Korean brands. Collections in the middle price range are the focus of interest. The size of orders will vary from brand to brand. This fair is well organised and we've found some good quality brands here."

"Andreas Murkudis is a unique concept store with 10-metre high ceilings located in a former newspaper printing workshop in Berlin. We started business 14 years ago and currently carry 300 brands with a diversity of high quality products from fashion to jewelry, porcelain, glass and furniture. CENTRESTAGE is a really interesting fair offering a good mix of apparel, jewellery, bags and accessories. It’s great to see the glamour of various designer collections in the fashion shows. Five brands have got my attention in particular, including MEIKING NG, and ALPS from Hong Kong and DEW E DEW E from Korea. The leather jackets by ANVEGLOSA and menswear by KA WA KEY are also attractive. I expect to purchase 5-10 piece per style, subject to negotiation. This is a good fair allowing me to discover new brands and opening up business opportunities."

Andreas Murkudis, Owner,
Andreas Murkudis, Germany

"One thing that really stood out to me was how well-organised CENTRESTAGE is for its scale. Registration for every event was always quick, booths were well spaced out, and I like that there was a good mix of fashion shows (big and small), interesting talks by industry experts, and opportunities to meet and speak individually with all the designers, even the ELITES.

The labels from the Fashionally Collection #10 are some of my favourites. I got to speak with the designers of each label and their enthusiasm and passion for what they do was infectious. In particular, DEMO. has very unique unisex Japanese-inspired pieces, like a dramatic obi belt, long shirts with back cut-outs, and kimono-esque outerwear – statement pieces that are still surprisingly wearable."

Tan Hui Ling Rachel, Fashion Writer,
Her World Singapore

"From the view of a first-timer at CENTRESTAGE, I think this event is very well-organised and jam-packed with fashion business seminars, trend talks and all kinds of design information. I like the fact that newcomers get the great opportunity to showcase their products and creativity to overseas buyers and media.

This season, the prominent trend amongst Asian designers seems to be sustainability, drawstrings, genderless pieces, edgy details, drapping and Japanese-inspired elements such as modernised Obi belt by DEMO., JUUN.J 's trench coat and FFIXXED STUDIOS’ drawstring dress. During the interview session with FFIXXED STUDIOS’ designers, Fiona Lau and Kain Picken, I could feel so much passion coming from them. This brand has a great balance between sustainable fashion and timeless everyday-wear with a twist."

Janchittra Tantikarn, Digital Fashion Writer,
Elle Thailand

"The whole fair was unlike anything I’ve seen before. From the outdoor set up to the Fashion Funhouse with hues of blue and pink decorating the walkway entrance and to the creative display of the mannequins dressed in designers’ wears featured in a playground-like display with funky swing sets, seesaws and merry-go-round. The whole setting aptly suited with the theme ‘Nouveau Playhouse’.

The trends that made quite an impact towards me would be sustainable and genderless in fashion. We live in a world with so many trends that are ever changing and ever moving but these two trends are gearing towards a more long term wear. They are moving forward with consumers who are more aware of what they wear, and what they are looking forward aren’t just based on photocopied designs but real versatile clothing."

Alya Zulkernai, Web Editorial Assistant,
FEMALE Magazine Malaysia

"In comparison with the previous edition, CENTRESTAGE 2017 has visibly grown in size, demonstrating greater number of exhibiting brands and larger variety of featured products. There were nearly 1,000 guests during the opening gala show CENTRESTAGE ELITES, which is a staggering achievement by any standards for any fashion show around the world.

CENTRESTAGE is a unique opportunity to discover and meet in person with amazing young and established designers yet unknown in my part of the world, but definitely deserving our attention and possibly, business.  Similarly, I see CENTRESTAGE as a tremendous unique opportunity for American brands to be introduced to the highly regarded Asian market."
